Delhi Assembly Budget Session to be held from March 23 to 25

The budget session of the Delhi Legislative Assembly will be held from March 23 to 25. A decision to this effect was taken during a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta at the secretariat on Monday.

The budget session of the Delhi Legislative Assembly will be held from March 23 to 25. A decision to this effect was taken during a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta at the secretariat on Monday.

According to the Cabinet decision, the report of the Economic Survey will be tabled in the House on March 23 and on the following day, March 24, the Delhi government will present its budget.

Last year, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta had presented the maiden budget of her newly-elected BJP government in the state assembly with allocation of Rs 1 lakh crore for the development of the national capital with a focus on women’s safety, water supply, sanitation, infrastructure, and cleaning of the river Yamuna.

Last year’s outlay was Rs 24,000 crore higher than the previous budget estimates when the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was in power, with an increase of 31.58 per cent.
